Dr. Jennifer Bishop is an entrepreneur, author, faith leader, motivational speaker, philanthropist, community advocate, and political activist. As a women's empowerment agent and leadership development expert, Dr. Bishop provides inspiration and practical advice to help individuals and organizations achieve their goals.

As a highly accomplished businesswoman and sought-after thought leader, Dr. Bishop's work in the business, education, and non-profit sectors has earned her numerous accolades, establishing herself as a prominent national leader. As a member of several organizations whose core values align with her own, Dr. Bishop is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Jack & Jill of America, Inc., Junior League of Columbia, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and the National Association for Female Executives, to name a few. In 2022, Dr. Bishop was appointed by the 46th President of the United States, Joseph R. Biden, Jr., to serve as a Commissioner on The Commission of Presidential Scholars through the U.S. Department of Education. Dr. Bishop previously served as a Commissioner on the Richland County Penny Tax Commission and is currently the City of Columbia Commercial Revolving Loan Board Chairwoman.

In 2020, Dr. Bishop published her first book, Now Get Up and Go Be Great! In 2023, she published the first children's book from the Enter to Learn, Exit to Lead Series, Peyton's First Day, followed by I Don't KnowThe Neat Meet, and Help Me Help You. In the fall of 2023, Dr. Bishop released her highly anticipated 6th publication, Next Is Now: Dealing With the Overdose of Doubt. 

In 2022, Dr. Bishop co-founded the 501(c) 3 non-profit organization RARE Leaders, Inc., with a vision of community transformation, whose initiatives include Souled Out Saturdays and The Bigger Picture Project. These initiatives equip leaders with the education needed to transform their communities through equitable economic empowerment and resource mobilization. Activities include conducting need assessments, connecting participants with other business agencies, and providing evidence-based strategies for marketing and management success.

Dr. Bishop understands the importance and power of education. As a fourth-generation college graduate, she knows education is the key to unlocking opportunity and prosperity. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in History (1998) and a Master of Public Administration (2000) from Savannah State University, she also holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership (2022) from Columbia International University.
