When you pray to God, you are simply talking to Him.
There are times when we are in great need and we cry out to Him to help us. We
also pray to God to confess our sins and ask for help to live a godly life. God
is gracious to forgive us and help us.
However, if we want to develop a relationship
with Him, there should be other times that we pray. We can thank Him for
helping us, pray for someone in need, or just tell God how much we love Him and
praise Him for being good. When we have an ongoing conversation with God, we
are growing in our relationship with Him.
Colossians 4:2 tells us to, ““Devote yourselves
to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving.” If
you need prayer, we would love to pray for you! Just fill out a welcome card at
a Sunday service and place it in the giving boxes. If you would like to
talk to a pastor, feel free to contact us with an email or phone call.
